Glossary
GPU cluster
Definition
A GPU cluster is a group of servers fitted with graphics processing units and joined by a fast network so they can work together on AI training, inference or scientific computing.
Why it matters when you’re buying
Cluster performance depends on the network, storage and software as much as on the GPUs. Compare cost per useful result, availability of capacity, and support for the frameworks and schedulers your teams use.
How it relates to other terms
A scheduler shares the cluster between jobs, dense clusters often need liquid cooling, and inference is a growing share of what they run.
