How to choose between them

We don't score or rank these two. The questions below come from our Enterprise Applications evaluation guide, and they work best when you put each one to both companies and compare the answers side by side.

  1. Fit with your processes

Heavy customisation makes every upgrade harder and dearer. You should know which processes the product handles as standard and which would need change on one side or the other.

Ask both: Can you demonstrate our most important processes using our scenarios and data, and show which parts are standard, configured or custom?

  2. Access to your data and exit

Your customer, financial and employee data must stay usable by your other systems and recoverable if you leave.

Ask both: How can we reach all of our data through APIs or bulk export, what limits and charges apply, and in what format would we receive it at exit?

  3. Integration with your other systems

Business applications depend on each other. Fragile integrations become the main source of support work.

Ask both: Which of our systems have maintained integrations, who maintains them, and how do your upgrades affect them?

  4. AI features on your processes

Demos show assistants on clean sample data. The value depends on your data quality and on whether the agent can complete a task or only suggest one.

Ask both: Which AI features are included in our licence and which cost extra, and can we test them on our own data and processes during the evaluation?

  5. Upgrade impact

Cloud applications update on the vendor’s schedule. Every release needs testing against your configuration and integrations.

Ask both: How often do you release changes, how much notice do we get, and what tools help us test our configuration before each release?

  6. Implementation partner quality

Projects often succeed or fail on the implementation partner as much as on the software.

Ask both: Which partners have implemented this for organisations like ours in our region, and can we speak to those customers without you on the call?

  7. Total cost over the contract

Licences, add-ons, storage, test environments, integration tools and partner fees can make the first quote a fraction of the real cost.

Ask both: What will we pay in each year of the contract, including add-ons, storage, AI usage and the environments we need for testing?

  8. Renewal and contract terms

Once you depend on the application, your position at renewal is weaker. Protect it when you sign.

Ask both: What price protection do you offer at renewal, can we reduce users or modules during the term, and what help do you give at exit?

The guide also lists red flags to watch for in any Enterprise Applications vendor, and how to build a shortlist.

How this page is put together

Every fact comes from the two Techarda profiles, which our editors check against each company's own site and public records. Rows are left out when neither profile has the detail. Stories are the ones each company published in the last 90 days; review counts include published, moderated reviews only.
