How we treat publishers’ content

Techarda never republishes articles from other publishers. We show the headline, a short excerpt, the publisher’s name, the date and a prominent link to the original. Our own summaries are written by us. Community members may link to and summarise resources but must not paste them.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on Techarda infringes your copyright or trade mark, email engage@techarda.com with the subject “Takedown notice” and include:

  1. your name, organisation, postal address, email and phone;
  2. the work you believe is infringed (or a representative list);
  3. the exact URL(s) on Techarda;
  4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

This format also satisfies the notice requirements of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)). We aim to act within two business days, remove or disable the content where appropriate, and notify the person who posted it.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or you have the right to use it, reply with the URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, your contact details, consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia (or your local court for US users), and your signature. We may restore the content unless the complainant tells us they have started legal proceedings.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others’ rights.
