Each 'Decision Category' in Techarda has 'Category Definition', 'Evaluation Criteria' and 'Specifications' sections. 'Category definition' defines what that particular category is all about, it's components, architecture, use case, pros and cons etc.
'Evaluation Criteria' defines the important criteria which may be useful to consider while making decisions.
'Specifications' are nothing but 'product specifications' which are relevant for products which belong to this 'Decision Category'. These specifications act as 'filters' on the 'product list' and make it easy for you to find what you are looking for.

According to Wikipedia "Social Media Management is the business related function of managing multiple social media channels for the purposes of marketing communication, reputation protection, and customer acquisition. The practice utilizes the internet technology of social media to talk directly to individual customers and create a level of brand involvement and loyalty not possible with traditional media strategies. It reaches beyond marketing and into functions such as sales, human resources, and project management."
Things to consider and questions to ask before you make your buying decision
When deciding for a product, it is essential to know what is important for your context before you start short-listing product vendors. This is crucial because what is good for a large enterprise working across multiple countries may not work for a 20 people company working from one office.
Evaluation criteria allows Techarda community to specify
What evaluation criteria are important for them and Why
In addition, they can also share the specific use case(s) which makes a specific criterion so much important.
Like everything else on Techarda, Evaluation criteria support full collaboration. You can share your feedback on how important the criteria are for you, qualify them based on your context and more importantly, suggest a new criterion, in case something important is missing. Once you create a new criterion, it is shown as 'Proposed'. When there is sufficient interest for that criterion (through people marking it as relevant), it becomes 'accepted' criterion and everyone can start using it.
Specification are in essence 'product specifications'. They are those characteristics of the product which have zero ambiguity in terms of what they can offer. For example, a product license is GPL or BSD or MIT and when you see a value BSD for license you are 100% sure what is meant by that. If there is any ambiguity about a specification and they values can be subjective, it is better to have that as an 'evaluation criteria' than a 'specification'.
As a registered user of Techarda, you can add new values to a defined specification. More importantly, you can also suggest a new specification, in case something important is missing.
Here you will find a list of all products which belong to the specific product category. The list is in no particular order.
You can add a product by clicking on 'Suggest a product' if you think a product which belongs to the list is missing. Any newly added products will be shown as 'proposed' and will appear at the bottom of the list. Once there is sufficient interest in the community about a 'proposed' product (by marking the 'relevant' flag), the product will become mainstream.
You can compare products by checking out the 'check box' and then clicking on the 'Compare' link. You can compare maximum of 3 products at a time. On the comparison screen, you can remove or add new products by clicking on 'configure comparison'.
